Company Semenarstvo, Šabac, is the processing center for storage, processing and distribution of field crops seeds with very long tradition. It was founded in 1948 as agricultural cooperative. In 2008 it became part of the private company and part of Agromarket Group. The vicinity of Belgrade (110 km), the river Sava as a waterway, Croatia, Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina as neighbouring countries are all competitive advantages of this processing center.
In Šabac, the seed is stored in floor warehouse with surface area of about 5000 m2 and pallet warehouse with 1000 m2, as well as in separate silo cells, type Konskilde, with the capacity over 12000t which provides complete separation of the goods admitted according to sort, producer and quality. In modernized warehouse with Gomper equipment herb seeds are admitted and processed. In the course of 2012 and before the beginning of the processing campaign, a new assembly, Hide 150TC, was installed.
The drying plant, with 10 chambers for 50 t, which daily admits 80 to 120 t of corn was also installed within the processing center.
Continuous staff efforts, new investments in modernization, introduction of quality standards and organization of production of crops make a better future for this processing center within the Agromarket Group.
